Kindly bought this by my partner after he had looked up multiple jacket reviews - I was SO excited about this coat. Fit is great, good hood, pit zips for when you're overheating on the uphills.... First time I wore in a 5 minute downpour - completely soaked through the shoulders and lower back. Contacted Gooutdoors who sent away to Paramo - who resent with new coat - and enforced needs reproofing every 6 weeks to ensure waterproofing. I've been reproofing regularly, and still with my new jacket have been experiencing multiple leaks - in the same spots on the shoulders and lower back - now to the point where I really feel the >£200 cost was a complete waste. Such a shame as I just want a jacket to rely on and know it will help protect me from exposure when I'm out in wet and windy conditions - especially when you're away from a warm bed and drying facilities for potentially multiple days!

Bought this jacket 8 weeks ago as i am a keen walker/hill walker and always worn gortex but was recommended paramo by an older hillwalker. I love everything about this jacket but unfortunately I only gave it a one star as I wore it on a 16 mile walk and it was raining and I was soaked right through at my back and shoulders. I was really disappointed in this after reading great reviews that it is supposed to be totally waterproof and it is not a cheap jacket. this was my first walk in the rain and it let me down.
Although I must say paramo customer services were great. I contacted them via email and they replaced it with a brand new jacket which I have still to try out. They replaced this within two days as I had a walk that weekend so here's hoping this one is ok as I do like the jacket.

Its a lovely coat, bright. a lovely fit wore once when raining and it beaded off. I love the feel, so light. going to take it on holiday just in case of heavy showers

Does exactly what it says on the tin, the jacket has kept me dry through many a miserable hike across England and Wales this year. The hood comes with a peak which means my hair and makeup are protected from the all so common 'Alice Cooper after a prolonged cold shower' look and the adjustable toggles mean you can make a vain attempt to look ever so slightly bootylicious in the midst of a 'man's world'. On a side note it's also expensive looking enough that after a long day in the wilderness the lads are likely to give you a bit of space at the bar so they don't spill their real ale on it and you can enjoy your martini in piece.

Wind proof on a 12mile coastal walk , strong winds didn't get through the jacket.
It also rained very heavy, I was totally dry under the jacket. I needed convincing this jacket would perform as it said on the label , I was very surprised such a thin lightweight coat could perform so well. This is a perfect coat to wear and also put In my rucksack if the weather changes. I will feel safe using this on my next walk up Ben nevis. It's also stylish , money well spent for me.
Look at the care label, it does recommend to wash it in a special protector.

This is an amazing jacket. I am a keen hill/mountain walker and out most weekends. I have recently bought this and been caught in the heaviest of downpours and winds but kept snug and dry ...it's so lightweight it's easy to pack and takes up little space ...A definite must you won't regret buying it ??
