Used for a 20km walk around Scafell, a 20km walk with grade 1/2 scrambles around Tryffan and up Crib Goch and the Horseshoe at Snowdon. Served me perfectly. Comfortable, lightweight and seem hard wearing. Will be taking them with me for some multi-day hikes in the Dolomites.

The weather during these test walks was sunny and dry. The shoes breathed well. Stepped in a couple of puddle and my feet stayed dry. Great for summer walking.

They are very comfortable but in my pair the tongue keeps slipping down and bunching up just above the toes. There's no loop to hold the tongue in place as with normal walking shoes/trainers and I hadn't noticed this when I bought them. Also, difficult to tighten the laces. I'm going to try to get my money back!

Look great, comfortable and keep feet dry and supported for all day wear. Not a mountain shoes but great for general wear.

I bought these shoes to encourage me to do more walking. They are so comfortable that I have been able to walk very easily without any discomfort or blisters. I wanted leather shoes which I find easier to keep clean so these shoes are just perfect. Would definitely recommend.

Wanted a sturdy shoe for walking as finding some boots too clumpy and these are perfect. My husband has a similar pair so I treated myself to these. Great value for walking in town or country

This is a good, robust walking show. The fit is good and I have found them very comfortable from day one. Typically, vibram soles are no good in icy conditions.

These walking shoes are very comfortable & sturdy and I noticed this from the moment I first tried them on.
I walk everyday between four and ten miles and my feet dont ache or feel 'heavy' like they do in other walking shoes or boots.
Im very impressed and find them good value for money.
I have found the sole to be a little slippy in wet weather and this has surprised me. I'm hoping its just a teething problem and this will ease with wear ..

Very comfortable walking boots, a good buy

I bought these to replace some old walking boots, was shopping on-line and saw the boot version and liked the looks of it. So went to Go Outdoors and a very helpful assistant showed me these shoes as well, which I preferred.
Very comfy, nice wide fitting accommodates thick socks, in the colour I wanted, only small gripe is the eye-hole for the laces - but at least they won't come loose quickly.

I bought these shoes for a walking holiday in Tenerife. I wanted a lighter weight shoe than the heavy, waterproof boots that I wear in the UK and I was looking at heavy-weight trainers. However the assistant suggested these boots to me and I fell in love with them as soon as I put them on.

I have not been disappointed at all. I wore them for 4 consecutive days, walking around 9-10 km per day on rough and dry (volcanic) terrain. I found them exceedingly comfortable, light and breathable (so my feet didn’t get too hot), yet sufficiently robust for the terrain. When I got home I polished them up with wax polish and they look almost like new.

I am very pleased with them and can recommend them highly. My only complaint (and other reviewers have said this too) is that it is almost impossible to pull the laces through the little eyelets, making it very fiddly to adjust the fit of the shoe.

Oh I'm in love with these walking boots/shoes. I have struggled to find really comfortable ones for years but from the moment I tried these on, they were extremely comfortable. We do a lot of walking as we have an Italian Spinone Dog and walk miles every day. Yippee, at long last I have comfortable feet. Thank you, North Ridge!

I have small feet so end up buying ladies boots. I have had these shoe 23 months. i have just bought the boot version as well. For me they are very comfortable and hard wearing since having them I have treated the leather once they still look good. I wore them in Glazier National park on some tough trails, every body else was in boots but I had no problem.

From the minute I tried them on, I didn't want to take them off! i wear them to work every day. Simply the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Reasonably wide fit, roomy, light but supportive, lovely style. Only minor negative is that the lace rings are smallish so loosening the laces can be a bit fiddly. Please could we have them in black too?

They look the part but very difficult to get any tension on the laces, cant tighten laces due to metal eyelets.

they are so comfy but they have a few issues
the inside is wearing out before the outside
and the sole is great in dry weather but can
be an issue on wet smooth surfaces. I have to
be careful walking over smooth stones that
have become wet, iron grids that are smooth
otherwise lovely and comfy. just have to be
careful when the weather is damp or wet.
