Designed for maximum comfort with today's technical approach footwear, the 1000 Mile Ultimate Tactel® Approach Sock has a 100% Tactel® inner layer that stays with the foot, wicking away moisture, whilst the soft merino wool-mix outer moves with the shoe, reducing friction and helping to prevent blisters and reduce wear.
The unique combination of fibres maintains a comfortable temperature for the foot.
They're designed to be worn for 2 season walking and off-road activities in lightweight boots, as well as approach or trail shoes.
- Arch bracing gives additional support
- Heel Power grips the heel firmly in place - so no slippage!
- Double layer construction eliminates friction between foot and shoe, reducing wear and preventing blisters
- Tactel® inner layer wicks away perspiration to keep feet dry and cool

Measuring tips
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Use a ruler or tape measure to measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.
Bought these after speaking with a go outdoors assistant and explaining how my feet get hot and uncomfortable so often. Was very pleased after spending 5+ hours wearing these in the Brecon Beacons and in new boots too. Feet felt cool and next to no sweat. Good value for money.
