Montane's Alpine Equaliser is a lightweight softshell jacket that will comfortably protect you from the elements, with all the features you want for alpine activities.It's outer shell is constructed from a lightweight, stretch Wind Barrier Dynamic nylon fabric, with an added Durable Water Repellent coating, which blocks out the wind and causes any water to bead an roll off.
Inside there's a THERMO Plexus lining which has a textured brushed grid microfleece inner, effectively trapping your warm air whilst wicking away any moisture through the fast drying polyester fibres.
Articulated arms prevent lift when reaching up, keeping you well covered if climbing, while the fully adjustable hood, hem and cuffs let you find a tight and secure fit when the weather gets really bad.

Measuring tips
Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
CHEST: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, making sure to keep the tape under the arms and around your shoulder blades.
WAIST: Measure around the smallest part of your waist (natural waistline).
HIPS: Stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest part.
INSIDE LEG: Measure from the top of your inner leg, along the inside seam to the bottom of your leg.

Montain jacket
Great lightweight jacket, excellent wind protection
I really wish go outdoors (and other companies) would stop messing with outdoor clothing technical terminology.
This jacket is good, warm, lightweight and will definately be a welcome layer on a technical climb or walk. But let's get one thing straight... It is a technical windproof jacket. Not a softshell!
It has NO stretch and is not as hard wearing warm or water resistant as a true thicker softshell jacket. It has a two layer system which are separate. Inner is fleece and outer is non stretch windproof shell. Sizing is on the small side so order a larger size than you think you'll need.
It's only available to order online too. Meaning you'll have to waste your time returning it if it's not what it says it is. Be careful making this purchase!
