Had the shoes a few days now, worn twice and covered about 15 miles in them. Great fit, very comfortable and now wear in feeling. I changed the insole for a more structured and cushioned insole (this filled the broader front area better) I find the insoles are quite poor. Read complaints about slippery sole (definitely not) they are very grippy. However I'm not sure how long they will wear, the sole isn't very thick, but can't really comment yet. They look great in jeans or trousers. Overall very happy just hope they last.

I had the Brashers before. I only swapped to these because Brasher seemed to disappear for a while (following the acquisition by berqhaus) extremely disappointed with the quality. I walk my dog for 30-45 mins daily and they lasted 8 months. My brashers lasted 2 years.

I brought a pair of these for work as I like the look casual smart. They cannot even handle a short walk to and from the station and a sitting desk job, they did not even last me 6 months! I sent them back to Meindl because the rubber sole had come off, Meindl reglued them, but a week later the sole came off again.
The sole has worn rather quickly considering the type of usage that it has had.
I seriously doubt that these would even last as a walking shoe!
No point in sending these back to Meindl for a resole because at the price that they are asking, you could buy almost buy a new shoe!

Disappointed given the price of these shoes, the back of the shoes broke after a month of wearing.

Worn these now until bumps going off the sole. Underneath are deep holes. Meindl not interested unless you pay £80, All other shoes I have had have worn Flat and then given excellent mileage, these are scrap. Brasher went on for years literally. Would not now recommend these Meindl.

I’m surprised to see other reviewers say they’ve found these shoes to rub – I’ve worn mine regularly for the past year, and I’m found them extremely comfortable right from the start. They’re smart enough to wear for weddings, restaurants and the office, comfy enough to wear on long-haul flights, and ideal for city breaks when you’re pounding the pavement all day. Being waterproof, they’re ideal whatever the weather, and I also wear them for walking the dogs. I would certainly buy Meindl shoes or boots again based on my experiences with my trusty Cambridge shoes.

A comfortable shoe. Well made and at a good price. I'm using this shoe as my every day shoe for work and is doing great.

I bought a pair of these for urban walking and on the first outing they rubbed the skin off both my heels. OK I thought they need breaking in so plasters on and many walks 8 months later still rub the skin off! For the price I had expected better so returned to store who returned to manufacturer who said they were faulty and issued gift voucher. Don't agree with faulty conclusion, they are bad design with protruding stitching along heel inside shough

Great fitting and super waterproof lasting throughout the winter without leak ever. However after walking daily, the soles have worn badly after 6 months. A shame as they are fine for work - looking smart.

I really like meindl boots and have always been delighted with them in the past. The Cambridge walking shoe is not a boot and that's kind of obvious. I am pleased with them but not delighted. Unlike meindl boots which were excellent from the very first wearing, these shoes need to be broken in. They seem narrower than usual although this may be simply the need to break them in. The heel cuffs became a bit uncomfortable after a few hours so I have had to wear them for a few hours at a time before resting them. i don't doubt that given time they will be fine. It's just that Meindl have such an excellent history in making quality footwear and I expected the same again with these shoes. Given the high price, they are expensive, I had hoped for better.
