Can't understand the reviews saying the tap points the wrong way. If you pull it outwards, the tap can be turned to any direction. Push it in and it locks. The seal washer needs to swapped over too.

Great jerry tub did not leak at all.
But before you walk out the shop make sure the tap is in the other side the lid.
had to take mine back after i got to the van and showed the boss then find the tap was missing.

Bought with the idea that it would make things easier, however the tap needs to be tightened A LOT to get it to face down, and then once you start using it, the water flow slows to a trickle and glues because there is no vent and it's pretty sturdy.

Was tempted to drill a hole, but then of course it's no longer sealed, for the money I would expect a tap you can adjust and a vent to make it more usable, wish I'd just bought a tablets one for less!

I bought this as it had the tap but the tap doesn't line up and you constantly get air locks. I ended up not using the tap but unscrewing the lid whenever I needed water

Useless piece of kit I'm afraid. Once the tap is inserted it fits at such an angle that it is impossible to dispense properly. None of the store assistants at Poole could work it out and the manager would only refund on a go outdoors card rather than a cash refund. Very disappointed in the product, not even worth one star rating! Poor quality and unfit for purpose, also disappointed with the managers decision not to refund in cash. A go outdoors card can only be spent in the store, branded products are much cheaper in competitors stores and own brand or no brand products are very poor quality or unfit for purpose. I'll use my card on some sort of branded product in the sale and doubt I'll use go outdoors again.

Bought this at the Penrith store when camping in the lakes last week as the weather for a change was red hot and my dog had a unquenchable thirst

The container is strong and the tap when fitted does not leak.
The only issue we had with it was is was hard to hold the container and the dogs bowl or kettle and turn the tap at the same time.

Once the water in the container is under 50% you need to tilt it forward which is not easy while holding a bowl or kettle ect and the container tends to slide on any uneven surface. I put a rubber matt under it to stop this.

One last comment do not loose the cap that you unscrew to fit the tap as you can't buy them and you will need to buy the whole container again.

Overall not to bad but with the above comments.

I used it recently on a wild camping trip, it did the job well. It didn't leak, it poured well once I got used to the airlocking due to internal pressure. Easy to store in my rucksack and as long as you're in a really remote spot you can leave it outside the tent as it won't go anywhere even in a rough bit of Scottish wind!

Sturdy bit a kit for the money.

Very useful item for my elderly father who is bedbound.

You will need to squeeze the water out of the tank to get a reasonable amount of water in a short time which is a nuisance. I notice on a few reviews that purchasers have had a problem with the Tap facing the wrong direction. I got round this problem by adding the second washer that is attached to the blanking cap which is fitted to the main cap. The Tap is now in the best position for pouring. It would be nice if the manufacturer could add an air hose fitted to the Tap that reaches above the water level to allow air to enter can as the water pours which would reduce the vacuum and increase the flow.

This is a good price and it does the job. It's very useful, not too big to carry and doesn't leak.

Returned after once use. Tap was not straight , it leaked and the flow was minimal. Very poor product with little other choice at go outdoors. Essential equipment too.

I bought this can on the way to a camping trip. Within 3 hours of minimal use the tap seal had broke! For the time that it actually worked the pouring was very intermittent as there was no where you could adjust for air to release. Very disappointed and would not recommend. I will be returning.

Good quality container but the tap is useless, the container is so stiff it will not allow the container to flex and allow any air in, waste of time. Would return it if the store wasn't 25 miles away.

This container is rubbish, when fitting the cap, the tap doesn't face downwards only to the side. Tried for ages to get it to line up but due to the threading this is never going to line up. Tap itself is very stiff and you end up undoing the tap itself. The flow rate is also painfully slow. I would return this product but its not worth the fuel!

Not fit for purpose. The tap is so stiff my wife can not open it and I have trouble. The washer on the tap leaks so that the tank cannot be left on its side.I have had to adapt a neoprene washer to fit. No vent to allow air in when tap is on. All in all a bad purchase. Will buy something else to replace it.

Good buy, sturdy construction and I like the fact that the tap can be stowed inside the container on the reverse side of the cap. When full it is not to heavy to lift.
