It’s not waterproof all my stuff is wet rain sits on the top.
This tent is perfect had it 1.5 years
Camped in heat wave last yr minus 3 In April 19 plus two weather warnings this year No leaks or issues at all
I guess pitch it right no issues will happen
We camped for 2 weeks within sight of 2019 Boardmasters festival which was cancelled due to a storm. This tent just shrugged it off. Following morning most other tents were destroyed on our campsite.
Wonderful. Bought a few weeks ago and used most weekends since, both camping trips + at festivals. Very easy to put up, very sturdy. Definitely cooler in the heat - PITCH black even in the daytime.
Bought for weekend camping, easily fits a double SIM inside, with room at the side for narrow bags, or room to put these at the head/tail end. Porch area useful to keep boots dry and packs small!
I got.this tent for a cycling event in May. Was very easy to put up and to take down myself.it was raining at night and woke to no rain in the tent. The bedroom is a perfect size also had a air bed.
Spent weekend camping in heavy rain, tent was excellent but tent pegs let the product down (very flimsy and weak)
Needed a tent only for the weekend initially saw this & went for it. Spent Friday night on Wild Tor freezing cold night & 2nd night on Watton Tor biting cold windy night. Came through with flying colours kept us warm and dry, pegs, guy ropes all performed well. I'm very happy with my purchase. Also stays nice & dark in the morning so another bonus.
Bought in late June, put up 3 times at athletics events but hardly occupied. On third outing one of the poles broken.
Worse to come as on returning to store with whole tent (not in its bag) approached customer service staff who said “poles broke?”. When I replied “what makes you think that when holding complete tent out if it’s bag?” Staff member said they break all the time, they aren’t covered by warranty, although your warranty expires after first 30 days. Reply “so why don’t you sell a product you know will last longer and why don’t you tell customers that poles aren’t covered etc?
Now got to pay out for repairs for a product Go Outdoors clearly know is defective!
Poor customer service, poor quality poles....you get what you pay for!
I was bought this tent by some friends as I'm currently homeless. Very easy to put up and take down. It has survived 2 storms(winds of 50 mph+) and very heavy rain without me getting wet at all.
Condensation can build up on the inside of the outer layer overnight but still better than any tent I have used to date.
I'm 6'4 an have ample room and could fit another me inside if needed, but 3 people would have to be small and very friendly.
I've already put it up and taken it down over 30 times and there is no sign of the seams coming apart.
If I can live in it you can certainly camp in it.
Excellent tent
Easy to put up. Easily sleeps 2 on camping mats or standard double air bed. Bonus is that it is totally blackout , good for longer sleep. Stood up to storm force winds and prolonged torrential rain , everything remained dry. Too good for festivals . Feel confident that it can be used on long trips and cope with most weather conditions now. All in all a really good buy.
Tent is sturdy and easy to put up. The revelation for me was that you could actually get blackout tents! My old tent had finally given up after nearly 30 years - if this lasts that long it will be awesome!
I'll write another review in 30 years
A great tent for two at the price. Easy to put up and the dark interior does help to keep out early morning light.
I bought this tent on the basis of the blackened interior, light packed weight and packed size, as well as good price.
Assembly was the quickest and easiest of any tent I've had, and easily done by one able-bodied person, although admittedly the weather was good.
The interior is of ample size for one person but if you have one of those big air beds then you will want to place it centrally or diagonally to avoid your feet making the rear inner and outer tent touch. As far as having two people in, this is probably best for couples rather than mates if you're on a proper camping holiday or at a festival.
The tent survived rain in the sense that the inner remained completely dry. There was some minor water ingress on the outer zips but I'm not sure if this was due to the severity and angle of the rain. This is only an issue if you have anything you don't want getting wet lying directly beneath.
Packing away was easy. I was worried that my hasty attempt at doing so (leaving inner pitched, folding three ways lengthways then rolling up with the poles and pegs) wouldn't fit in the bag, but it did just about.
All in all the most hassle-free camping experience and a winner for festivals.
Took the tent on a 3 day wild camping hike across the Lake District as part of a 20kg back pack. Fits nicely in a Vango 65 Sherpa. Easy to assemble. Didn’t even need to read the instructions, which is something I usually genuinely and consistently do (and something I did for the aforementioned Sherpa backpack).
The tent itself is not a self supporting structure unpegged unlike some cross pole types, not an issue for us as the weather was perfect. Maybe a problem if you’re putting this up in the rain / by yourself / adverse conditions but then again for a £50 tent would you really want to use it in those conditions? We wouldn’t have. Though we feel it would have stood up to spring and autumn showers.
Once pegged in good ground the tent is sturdy and not too noisy in medium wind. As mentioned in other reviews the tent is very lightproof, we were in full sun blue sky situations and it was more than dark enough to sleep! (Because it’s black it also gets very warm very quickly in direct sunlight).
Overall 5/5, would introduce to our parents after prom.
This is a great buy. Easy to put-up & take-down. Very well constructed and lightweight. Plenty of room inside for 2 people. Fabric blocks light, so you get a good sleep.
Very easy to pitch, very dark inside even during the daytime. Would recommend
I took this to a festival near Derby at the start of June. The weather was really sunny and warm most days. This tent allowed me to sleep later than I've ever slept in a tent before because the sun wasn't shining through and waking me up / cooking me alive first thing!
Tent was easy to put up, I managed to do it myself in under ten minutes.
The sign of a good festival tent is that I even brought it home! It was so good I made the effort to take it all down on the Monday and bring it back up the road with me.
This is a new tent from Freedom Trail and it appears to be well designed and thought out. I haven't used it yet, so will reserve full judgement but it goes up well is roomy inside as well as dark. The zippers work well and it is quite possible to put up single handed, although it was not very windy. I will write a further review once it has been used in anger.
purchased July 18 hot & sunny .no money at the time but looked perfect. went on 3 trips that year with no Issues. 2019 April -3 , June & Oct weather warnings July sunny replaced 1 pole in Oct !!!
