Take your actual body measurements as they are more accurate than measuring over your clothes or shoes.
Feet: Measure your foot (from the heel to the tip of your longest toe) Be sure to measure both feet. Many people have feet of different sizes. Fit to the larger of the two.
Remember, feet can expand over a quarter size during a full day's walk so ensure you get the right fit.
Comfortable boots but by 12 months in the sole's started to come away down the instep on both boots. For what I paid I expected better. Shame really as I did like them before they fell to bits.
Sent back by return post right length but too narrow
Very comfortable for walking haven’t been tested for being waterproof yet
Superb, fit like a glove. Expensive but worth it
Very comfortable and lightweight. 20+ miles daily without any problem.
Waterproof.
Perfect fit for narrow feet.
Poor grip on wet.
Lacing could be better.
Hard to clean up.
Thumbs up from me.
Now on 6th pair, super comfortable, a pair lasts for about 2500 miles, not waterproof at all. I would like to write more but with only 200 characters its pretty pointless really .. Great Boot.
Light comfortable boot but wet weather performance on rock and hard surfaces is very poor.
The most comfortable boots I have owned. Unfortunately the upper started to come away from the sole after 15 months of moderate use. Salomon have a simple online system and have given me a voucher.
the sole started to come away from the upper after around 10 months of wear and they start smelling after getting wet a few times, I cannot recommend these at this price point
Only had these boots for a short time but walked 10 miles with no discomfort straight from the box!
They seem very well made and they have a lot of cushioning, this does make them warm though.
I've had these over a year now and they are excellent boots, lightweight and very comfortable.
After a six mile walk my small left toe was rubbing on the bottom lace attachment. If you run your finger along the inside you will feel it. Never had that with any boot. Lesson learned, avoid.
purchased these boots on the 08/02/2019 used them for a week of dog walking 3 & half mile a day just to get the feel of them, saturday 16/03/2019 first over 10 mile hike roseberry topping , captain cooks kildale, guisbrough (13 mile walked in total) good points regarding the boots, very comfortable indeed, did not suffer any rubbing, or hot spots whats so ever, when walk was complete no foot fatigue at all, bad points,on damp, moist, or wet, (pavement, rock, stone slabs) the grip from these boots is none existent i must say i really struggled ascending & descending on any form of wet rock surfaces , however on wet compact mud surfaces the boots performed very well indeed as they did on DRY rock surfaces such a shame salomon need to address the sole situation, will continue to use boots oniy in dry weather, back to my trusted scarp delta gtx for wet weather hiking
These boots are very comfortable but started to leak after about 20 months. Didn't get round to taking back till after the 24 months deadline for Salomon. Apparently Goretex doesn't last beyond 24 months.
Back to leather boots for me next, meanwhile I'll get a bit more wear out of them using waterproof socks.
Brilliant boot.
I have used these boots for about 10 Munro’s and I haven’t had any problems with these boots and have remained waterproof.
I would recommend a wee walk first to walk them in as they put pressure on the instep part of my feet for the first few hours but once walked in they fit well and are very comfortable.
Utilise the Go Outdoors price promise and save yourself around about 30 quid.
Had Salomon trainers before and decided to get a bit more protection/comfort for winter walking. These mid height boots with GTX membrane keep feet dry all day, puddles and saturated fells are no problem. The boots fit well, are much lighter than leather competitors and the grip/traction is great. Will buy Salomon replacements when necessary without hesitation.
Very comfortable, light-weight walking boot. I was very pleased with them until I walked in them in the rain. They're not waterproof and I returned from my walk with wet feet; very disappointing.
On a positive note, the staff at Go Outdoors were excellent and exchanged them to a different pair of boots without any problem whatsoever; excellent customer service.
Have exchanged them for a pair of Scarpa leather boots, which although need regular waxing, can't be beaten in wet and muddy conditions.
I have had 4 or 5 pairs of this style of Salomon boot. i find then incredibly comfortable but there is no way they are waterproof. I did the C2C last year in a older pair and a the Cleveland way this year with the newer design, not a single blister on either walk even when my feet were wet or damp ! If only a waterproof version could be made they would be perfect. Still the best fitting boot for my awkward feet, Going to combine a pair of seal skinz on my next long distance walk hoping this may resolve the wet feet problem ! A pair usually lasts about a year ( 2000 plus miles ) which in my mind is ok.
A decent light weight summer boot. Feels more like a trainer than a heavy boot.
Would recommend for summer hikes carrying little or no weight.
Would not recommend for winter or if carrying weight as not a huge amount of ankle support.
Better quality soles and attachment to uppers than Meindels. Meindl have quality control problems- their soles detach after a couple of months
