My second pair in 3 years. Very comfy, no rubbing or need to break in. Walk miles with the dog and like walking on cushions. Feet are kept warm and dry even in muddiest conditions but not slip proof. Laces pull tight and hold. Sadly after 18 months one lace snapped. Despite the video on how to replace found it very difficult and involved using a lighter, scissors and pliers! Maybe easy for young nimble fingers but not for older arthritic ones!!

The sole is very comfortable, like walking on new carpet and underlay, however, one side of one shoe is too high and rubs against my ankle causing a fair amount of discomfort when walking (and afterwards too), so unless it eases soon I'm going to have to stop wearing them unfortunately. I wasn't sure about the lace pull, but it seems to hold securely, although I find it quite fiddly to tuck it away in the mesh pocket. My other main frustration with these is that after one (30 minutes) wear they've developed a strange flapping noise with every step and I can't figure out where it's coming from or why it's happening, but the noise has persisted every time I've worn them since!! I'm not sure if it's a fault with the pair I have or something to be expected (although I can't see why, and no other walking shoes I've had have made strange noises). Overall, I want to like these as they look good and the soles are nice but for the money, I'm disappointed to be experiencing problems with them.

My second pair of Salomon (my first pair 3yrs old an still good as new) so comfy to wear straight from the box, sizing is not consistent so do try a few. Wanted a walking shoe rather than boot for a change, as am out every day in all weather, these are comfortable, look good, easy to put on and off, definatley not slip proof, and when mine have dryed out I will try the waterproof again.

I’d say order half size maybe even one size bigger. They are really comfy and the gortex side it great. Perfect if you are wanting a shoe instead of a boot!!

Never had Salomon footwear before but so far so good, were very comfy from the first time I wore them and I have quite a wide foot, but did have to buy a 1/2 size bigger as my size was not in stock. Was not sure about the quick lace but again so far so good.

My wife has tried numerous walking boots and shoes over the past 15 years. These are by far the most comfortable she has found especially as she has a slim foot and they are totally waterproof. They are also extremely lightweight - it is like having your feet protected in a bed of cotton wool

This is the third pair of these shoes I have bought. On offer they represent very good value from Go Outdoors. Extremely comfortable out of the box and no breaking in required. I find the quick lace system comfortable and durable, the tread is deep and provides good grip for all terrain walking. Waterproof up to a point, but I always use a spray proofer as well to ensure dry feet.

Always thought Solomon were narrow but I have a wide foot & there perfect. After a hand Operation could not do boot laces. So the bungee cord is brilliant I can join my walking group. Still hit & miss how they release to open. Seem to be waterproof so far in this wet muddy weather. They only had half size bigger, but no problem just wearing thicker socks. I bought & took back seven pairs when bought my last. So to try these on, purchased, then kept & finally worn is amazing. Bungee cord stays put & does not loosen when walking, fast Walking too. Sturdy but still able to bend foot not totally ridged. Very pleased well worth the effort to drive to North London from South London.

I had been looking for new walking shoes for a while and these are perfect. Easy to wear and extremely comfortable. They are waterproof and have excellent grippy soles.

Bought these in the sale, wore them round the house that night for a few hours, then out for a 4 hr walk with the family through some of the muddiest terrain we've been through for a while and a 2hr walk around Whitby. Was like walking on pillows, had no blisters despite so little breaking in, and my feet were warm and dry upon our return. Brushed off the mud the next day and good as new. LOVE them!!

This is the third pair of Salomon shoes I have bought, they are extremely comfy and keep my feet warm whilst out walking.
