Breakable, 28 November 2015
By Jaclash (Lancashire)

Once broken in, these boots are very comfy with good support. BUT.. be prepared for plenty of heel blisters because they don't break easy. I find wearing fine knit cotton socks help.

Tried Braking them in to no avail. A real shame.

Brasher Womens Hillmaster GTX, 11 April 2014
By Bruciebabe (Ringwood, Hampshire)

I bought these to replace an my old faithful pair. I was worried about breaking them in but I needn't have been, They have been so comfortable from the first walk, good ankle support, not heavy, Very pleased, would recommend them. Never had blisters but always wear 1000 mile socks.

Brasher Hillmaster 11GTX, 27 March 2014

I'm on my fourth pair of these boots over the last 20 years or so. They are fantastic boots. You need to make sure you get the right size and that you can wear two pairs of normal cotton type socks to prevent blisters. Put them on and they make you feel full of energy to walk anywhere. They have good grip, they are waterproof and once broken in you won't want to wear any other boots.

Blisters, 31 January 2014
By Peter G (Coventry)

Wife and I both bought a pair of these 2 years ago just for gentle evening walks of 3-4 miles. 2014 is the 3rd winter we've tried to break them in. Unfortunately we both get heel blisters after only a mile or 2. Love the look and quality feel but heel rubbing prevents extended use. Tried socks/pads/etc to no avail. Shame.
